Cleaning and maintenance
WOOD STOVES
All operations must be done while stove is cool.
For the glass cleaning use specific products for glasses or delicate surfaces of stoves and fireplaces easily available in commerce (never use abrasive products) and always dry with care.
For the covering cleaning use specific products for delicate surfaces easily available in commerce (never use abrasive products) and always dry with care.
For the cleaning of the combustion space, remove ash and eventual wood pieces which are not burnt.
A good maintenance contributes to sensitively improve the functionality, output and duration of the stove.
A) STOVE INACTIVITY
After the last seasonal use make these operations:
- Clean carefully the combustion space removing ash and not burnt wood
- Clean carefully the exhaust smokes system: for this purpose contact a professional chimney-sweeper
B) EXTRAORDINARY MAINTENANCE
These operations must be annually programmed and are necessary to guarantee the product efficiency maintenance and guarantee the safety functioning.
- Careful combustion space cleaning.
- Chimney cleaning ( contact a professional chimney sweeper ).
- Check the capacity of the gaskets ( contact a professional chimney sweeper ).
- Remove at least one time per year dust, cobweb, … from the zone behind the covering panel ( contact a professional chimney sweeper ).
